"You enter the city of New Carthage. You feel a sense of familiarity; a warm drizzle hits the mosaic windows of your XW-529 cruiser. The Hyrex Council warns against manual flight, but this has never deterred you. The city has untangled for the night time drift. This city is not like the old out-worlds you have grown accustomed to: cold, decrepit and lonely --- you used to feel the same. Not here, though, this is a new beginning. Here, the neon-sign-burst can create sot-forms like ones you have never seen, massive moving light-forms projected on the visible side of all three moons. The rain becomes heavier and is pouring from all directions. The biomag towers are pouring glowers, crimson red. Stay focused, the night drift has begun."
